Are you considering surgery with Dr. Barry Eppley? If so, you may want to know a bit more about Dr. Eppley's past unprofessional conduct with female patients.
The Truth Teller does not make this statement lightly. You will find posted to these pages e-mail written by Dr. Eppley to a vulnerable female patient he seduced and carried on an "intimate relationship" with for nearly two years... all while living with another woman.
The Truth Teller believes this is important information that every female patient should be aware of before deciding to undergo surgery with Dr. Eppley. I was first contacted by Dr. Eppley's victim of sexual predation last year. That message seemed to accuse me of singularly "defaming" Dr. Eppley. I really HAVE been in contact with some of his less fortunate patients. know he has pending malpractice cases against him because the Indiana Medical Licensing Board verified that was the reason he had to appear before the Board before they would renew his license. I personally believe he possibly abuses stimulant type drugs. My ex husband was a cocaine abuser. I never knew until he started to physically abuse me. Thinking back on Eppley's charismatic charm, his behavior was similar to that of my ex before his cocaine habit consumed our marriage.
If what you say about Eppley having other issues is true, I certainly hope whatever repercussions he suffers as a result are as devastating for him as the harm he inflicted on myself and others whose health and lives have been irreparably destroyed by his reprehensible actions. .

Tell me what you think of my case, now that you know more..for two years every appointment I had during the day we did not do appointments we had sex...he is very loud I am surprised no one caught on..he is such a good liar...I usually had to tell the receptionist I needed the procedure rescheduled.
When I saw him yesterday he looked like he had not slept in two weeks and looked liked he had done nothing but crying and drugs..he said that he was in terrible pain and suffering every day and his life was over..he was feeling nothing but torture..probably by Andrea..I will forward you the emails just because it is therapeutic for me..hell I will forward a few from him..
I hate him for taking from me and it would have never gone on if he had not taken advantage of my in a very vulnerable state..I spelled it out to him big time of how he was a bad Doctor and how what he did was wrong..I hate him..
I also suffer from great physical pain..I have had body/joint pain since I was four..I am forty..I have been to pain clinics and many different places..no one can help me..I wish for death to or some sort of relief..if it was not for the pain killers I would not be able to function..I even went before a judge when I got divorced for custody and my doctor testified and no one has ever touched my meds because my pain is also very real..I think heart pain is the worst...I was married for 17 years and not unfaithful one time. Barry is the only many besides one other man that I have slept with in the four years since my separation. I slept with that guy to break my attachment from Barry because he had just told me about Andrea..we were at his office at Riley and he was on his computer like usual and he looks up at me and says I live with someone..well I flipped and headed for the door..he got in between me and the door and kept talking me down for three hours..now you think I would just push out the door..that is my very strong personality but that man can talk anyone into anything..I would not have let thing relationship go on if it weren't for the way he can manipulate people..it just sucks

I made friends with **** because we had mutual friends from our daughters. We freaked out when we realized it..She lives north of Indy and I live south..You have never heard of him dating a patient have you? No one has reported him.
Andrea did go after you one time..I read it and I could tell it was her because of what she said..she talks like him..like 1.) then 2.) But he said her response got taken off..I tried to send you our emails..I will try again.
I went to get my medical records and my daughters medical records from his west office..trust me those ladies hate me..that's why I saw him.
Do you think I have a good case against him with all I have sent you?
The only way I know how to address your pain is I will take you on a ride on getting him back. He will die when he finds out we are friends..

I'm sure I can guess what transpired between you and Eppley, but I think you will be disappointed if you believe he is going to loose his license over such a transgression. Believe me, I lived with a doctor for 12 years, and it takes some very serious breach of medical ethics for a licensing board in any state to even discipline doctors, let alone restrict or revoke their license to practice. He would have had to commit this violation against more than one or even two women willing to testify against him. Also, he possesses the perfect type of personality to actually talk board members into letting him off with the least possible disciplinary measures.
Remember, it is not a CRIMINAL offense to seduce patients. It may well be a breach of professional conduct and cause for whatever disciplinary measures the Board deems appropriate, but there is the rub. The board will let him off lightly. I wish they would hang him by the balls, but they won't. Now, if he had been prescribing pain killers to you inappropriately, that night be considered a criminal offense, but that would be up to the DA or AG's office.
A very sad but true fact regarding all members of the medical profession.. they can literally get away with murder. Remember, he will be judged by his peers, and every one of them will be thinking, that could be themselves. Bad doctors are like bad cops... they have to have inflicted harm far and wide to get the punishment they deserve.
Still, I hope with every fiber of my being that Eppley gets what's coming to him.
